Location of Puri Uluwatu Villas Resort

Built on two acres Puri Uluwatu Villas is perched on a bluff overlooking the magnificent Indian Ocean on the southwest tip of Bali. We are located 20 minutes from Denpasar International Airport. We are located on the same stretch of beach as the Ritz Carlton, The Four Seasons, and Bali Intercontinental hotels in Jimbaran Bay.

Puri Uluwatu is 25 minutes from “Town” and yet it is like another world. Uluwatu is a traditional Balinese neighborhood, full of fishermen and farmers, where everyone knows their neighbors and in many cases is related to them too.

The southernmost area of Bali is known as the Bukit Peninsula. The Bukit offers limestone caves temples on top of dizzying cliffs, stretches of immaculate isolated white sand beaches, and dramatic coastline pounded by Bali’s most challenging surf.

Since the 1970’s Uluwatu beach has been a popular destination for surfers, beachcombers, and seekers of solitude. The surrounding area boasts some of southeast Asia’s best surfing beaches, and Uluwatu is considered one of the top 10 surfing spots in the world.

Uluwatu Temple

On the south coast of Bali is a whole series of sea temples. All of them pay homage to the guardian spirits of the sea, but none are more spectacular than the temple at Uluwatu.

Every afternoon at 5:30pm the Kecak (fire) dance is performed at Uluwatu Temple, it is a $5 donation per person. We highly recommend it and it is a beautiful time to take photos and see the sunset.
